Husband And Wife Die In Plane Crash

Missoula, MT (July 2, 2021) – The Sheriff and Coroner, TJ McDermott, has released the names of those who tragically perished as a result of a plane crash on Thursday July 1., 2021.

The husband and wife were identified as 42-year-old Brian J. Makar and 43-year-old Carrie R. Makar, both of Burien, Washington.

The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office will continue to assist the National Transportation Safety Board as requested with the ongoing investigaton.

At this time the cause of the crash remains under investigation and has not yet been determined if it was due to pilot error, or medical or any other flight related mishaps.

Heartfelt condolences go out to family and friends during this extremely difficult time.
