The Park County Fair is right around the corner and the public is excited to get the show on the road.
Plans are for the fair to be almost identical to years past and the regular events of the Grand stand shows will proceed along with a full carnival complimented with lots of vendors.
In the past, the Park County Fair has had some troubling waters to navigate. Late in the year, Audra Jewell, the former events manager, fired/dismissed due to some unknown issues that only her supervisor, Mike Garza, and the Park County commissioners were aware of.
This has been the fourth shake-up in about five years, which is a really bad odds for the Park County Fair. For one reason or another, the Park County Fair has had some rough years.

Despite these setbacks over the last five years, the Park County Fair will go on and is set to have it’s best financial year yet, according to Park County Fair sources
The Park County Fair takes place this year from July 27 through July 31, with the major event being the Sam Cox Band, who will preform on July 29. Other events will include the motocross and demolition derby, a staple of the Park County Fair Grounds, pig wrestling and some Nija Warrior Competition to name a few. The public is invited to come partake in the Community events at the Park County Fair.
