The Cheyenne Police Department has stated to all the media about the false claims of sex trafficking Zip ties attached to people’s vehicles.
These claims are just rumors on social media and are not accurate or true. Furthermore, the false social media claims are not happening in Cheyenne, Wyoming, or anywhere else.
This is what the CPD issued on their social media site:
CPD issued the following statement:
”The Cheyenne Police Department is aware of a social media trend that associates zip-ties with human trafficking. In videos and posts, it’s alleged that traffickers place zip-ties on car door handles to target victims. However, at this time, there is no indication that this trend is related to human trafficking in our community.”
