Casper Man Saves Buddies Life While Playing Racquetball With Him

Mr. Harris was playing racquetball at Lifetime Health and Fitness with Mr. Jeff Miller. Mr. Jeff Miller suddenly fell ill and collapsed on the court, and stopped breathing. Mr. Harris quickly initiated CPR while responders were summoned. 

Responders found Mr. Miller suffering from cardiorespiratory arrest on scene. CPR was continued, and advanced life support measures were initiated. Mr. Miller regained a pulse on the scene, and was rushed to Banner Health Wyoming Medical Center. Mr. Miller has since successfully recovered and resumed a normal life. 

In this instance, the initiation of Bystander CPR immediately upon recognition of cardiorespiratory arrest by Mr. Harris undoubtedly contributed to saving Mr. Miller’s life. Casper Fire-EMS is proud to recognize citizens like Mr. Harris who demonstrate initiative and decisive action to save the lives of those around them.
