Helena Police Department Blotter Report for April 1, 2022

At 0019 hours, Officers responded to the 300 block of Fuller Ave for a report that a stolen vehicle had been located. When officers arrived, they confirmed the vehicle in question was stolen and contacted the owner. This case is under investigation.

At 0925 hours, Officers responded to 300 block of W Lawrence for a report of trespassing. Officers made contact with one individual. The investigation is ongoing.

At 1141 hours, Officers responded to the 100 block of Edwards St and located a male who had a warrant for his arrest. The male was taken into custody for the warrant.

At 1355 hours, Officers responded to the 2900 block of N Sanders for a reported theft. When officers arrived, they met with the caller and the juvenile suspect. The juvenile was cited and released for theft.

At 1355 hours, Officers responded to the 1600 block of Wilder Ave for a reported theft. A suspect has been identified and this case is under investigation.

At 1409 hours, Officers and the HPD Crash Investigator responded to the area of Custer Ave and York Rd for a reported motor vehicle crash. One of the involved vehicles left the scene prior to officer’s arrival. This investigation is ongoing.

At 1710 hours, Officers responded to the 2700 block of N Montana Ave for a report of a disorderly male. Officers met with the caller, was able to identify the suspect male. At the conclusion of the investigation, the caller declined to pursue any criminal charges.

At 1828 hours, Officers responded to the 1200 block of N Park Ave for a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. It was reported a staff member’s vehicle windshield had been destroyed. This investigation is ongoing.

At 1835 hours, Officers responded to the 600 block of N Last Chance Gulch for a reported theft. This investigation is ongoing.

The Helena Police Department responded to 92 calls for service.  Of those calls, they responded to 2 Crashes, 6 Animal calls, 1 Disorderly/Disturbance calls, 8 Suspicious Circumstance calls, 3 theft calls, 1 Trespassing Complaints, 10 welfare checks, 2 Burglary Alarms (false alarms), and conducted 22 traffic stops.
