4. The Cody Police Department has received information there were similar
SWATTING calls to multiple law enforcement agencies across the state at
approximately the same time.

5. Cody Police Chief Chuck Baker was in communication with Park County School
District #6 Superintendent Vernon Orndorff throughout the incident. All Park
County District #6 schools remain in normal operations and the school district has
notified their Park 6 Families through their notification systems.

6. “We cannot allow the people that make these types of hoax calls put the students,
staff and police officers at risk or undermine the learning environment and
emotional well-being of our students. We intend to forward this information to
our State and Federal Law Enforcement partners to determine if this call was
connected to any other similar calls”. Chuck Baker, Chief of Police

7. This incident is currently under investigation. If anyone has any information
regarding this case, or any similar SWATTING incidents, please contact the Cody

Holocaust Survivor Turns 101

by Sarah Pachter

March 22, 2023

Nat Ross was forced to dig his own grave in Auschwitz. A Death March almost killed him. He just turned 101.

The very act that saved Nat Ross in Auschwitz also almost killed him.

Nat was tasked with building a sewer system in Auschwitz. When he found scraps of potatoes nearby while working, he immediately hid them in his pants. Every week, the Nazis forced the Jewish prisoners to take off their clothing and throw it into a big pot of boiling water for disinfection. Nat tied the potato scraps into his pant leg and boiled the potatoes along witevenh the clothing. These scraps sustained him.

Then the SS guards discovered his tactic.

They dragged him to the side and forced him to start digging his grave.

“With a gun to my head, I dug and dug. I knew it was my last moment of life. I didn’t know what was on the other side, so I started praying. I didn’t just pray for myself, I prayed for all the people in my life, including my Christian friends.”

The Nazi guard demanded that he lie next to the grave to see if he would fit. When they determined that it wasn’t long enough, he was commanded to get up and keep digging.

The very moment he got up, another prisoner collapsed.

The guard looked at Nat and said, “Well, isn’t today your lucky day?”

He moved the dead prisoner into the grave intended for Nat.

Nat felt tremendous gratitude, while experiencing survivors’ guilt at the same time. Death surrounded him daily. He frequently saw prisoners committing suicide by throwing their bodies against the electric gate.

Nat felt he had a mission to live so that he could one day retell his story.

After years of torture, his will to survive waned. Word was getting out that the war was over. The Nazis collected prisoners from each camp and forced them to march in the winter snow with no shoes. Anyone who collapsed was killed.

The guards did not want to waste a bullet; instead of shooting, they stabbed prisoners with the back of their bayonet. They would use bullets “wisely”, killing three prisoners standing in a row with one bullet.

At one point during the death march, the SS guards stopped by a farm for a small break. Nat saw some haystacks but knew that if he dared to lie down, he’d be killed. He didn’t care. If they are going to kill me, let them kill me here, and he fell asleep. He woke up 17 hours later and everyone was gone.

Two other prisoners were hiding nearby. A local farmer saw the three men and snitched. A German soldier found Nat and took out his gun to kill him.

Nat screamed out the Jewish prayer, Shema Yisrael!

The German pulled the trigger, but the gun malfunctioned and Nat ran to safety.

In Auschwitz

Nat couldn’t find the emotional strength to share his story until later in life. Particularly difficult to recount is what happened to his mother.

When the train arrived to Auschwitz, his mother was taken from him. All he wanted to do was hold his mother and give her a kiss. Nat started crying as he recalled, “I can see her face in my mind. Right in front of me she was trying to grab me and I was as trying to grab her but I couldn’t reach.”

His mother and two sisters were killed immediately.

When he and his son, Jay, went back to Auschwitz, Jay wasn’t sure how his father would react.

“His mind became compartmentalized. He was emotionless but he knew exactly where his bunker was. He remembered every detail 70 years later.”

Nat was the only survivor on the tour and they treated him like a celebrity. He showed everyone the various sections of Auschwitz using his firsthand memories to guide the group.

He held it together at Auschwitz but later broke down by his grandfather’s grave when he was alone with his son.

The Nazis treated him like an animal, but Nat didn’t let others treatment determine his worth. He knew his worth came from God.

Nat still strongly believes in God. “I get up to pray every day. It gave me strength then and it gives me strength now.”

Despite his strong memories of Auschwitz and the nightmares he continues to have, he doesn’t hold hatred in his heart. Nat believes hatred comes from ignorance. “Schools aren’t teaching the Holocaust anymore! My beautiful granddaughter gave a speech to her class about the Holocaust and shared my story and not one person had heard of the Holocaust.”

Nat remembers and shares his story today so we won’t forget.

In honor of his 101 birthday, his whole family flew in to share this auspicious moment.

Strangers from around the globe sent cards and well wishes.

Mitch Edelstein, the executive director of the assisted living home where he lives said, “We had to close the phone lines for several hours because we were overwhelmed with the amount of people calling to wish him a happy birthday.”

“I felt so much love,” Nat said. “My heart was swelling and I was overwhelmed with joy.”

Restoring trust in government by using the IQA

The Information Quality Act defines government information as “any communication or representation of facts or data, in any medium or form.” It requires that government-disseminated information be accurate, useful and reproducible; that it have integrity; and that opinions be clearly identified as opinions, and not be disguised as facts. This seems logical, straightforward, and essential to the proper functioning of government and society.

After all, if any of us lied or misrepresented salient facts to the government, we’d likely be fined or jailed. The same standards should certainly apply to government agencies and officials.

The glaring problem is that federal government agencies have simply refused to abide by or follow the act’s clear and unequivocal mandates. Perhaps worse, federal courts have let them get away with this arrogant refusal to obey the law. The impacts on our health, welfare, jobs and economy should be obvious to anyone who has encountered the increasingly pervasive impacts of government on our lives.

As lawyer and author William Kovacs observes in this important article, it’s time for us and Congress to do something about this serious and growing problem.

(As hearings this week on Capitol Hill made clear, the timing could hardly be more important. America deserves quality information that is accurate, objective, unbiased and reproducible)

Wyoming News Guest Writer: William L. Kovacs

The Federal government has left citizens living in information confusion, misinformation and conspiracy theories. Information clutter helps explain why only two in ten Americans trust Washington to do the right thing. But distinguishing between good and bad quality information should never be difficult when the information comes from our government.

There is a U.S. law that mandates that government-disseminated information be accurate and useful and have integrity. The federal government just refuses to abide by the Information Quality Act (IQA), section 515 of the Treasury and General Government Appropriations Act for FY 2001.

The Information Quality Act is designed to foster trust.

The IQA requires that the Office of Management of Budget (“OMB”) ensure and maximize “… the quality, objectivity, utility and integrity of information (including statistical information) disseminated by federal agencies.”

In 2002, OMB issued detailed guidelines defining the IQA terms. Information disseminated by the government was to be accurate (precise, complete and unbiased); useful to intended users; and possessing integrity (protected from manipulation). OMB also set forth a correction process for citizens, including experts, to challenge data inaccuracies.

For influential scientific information, there must be a “high degree of transparency about data and methods to facilitate the reproducibility of such information by qualified third parties.” IQA procedures were designed to build trust in government information by following a modified scientific method of testing and reproducibility of data.

Information was defined as “any communication or representation of knowledge such as facts or data, in any medium or form.” Dissemination of information to the public includes agency distribution of information to the public.

While opinions are not covered by the IQA, when it is presenting an opinion instead of information, the agency must clearly identify it as an opinion.

Had IQA guidelines been followed during Covid, for example, the federal government would have provided the public with more useful information.

By not following IQA guidelines during Covid briefings, misinformation and opinion were often presented as fact, without any supporting documentation or without the statement being noted as opinion.

As a result, citizens were forced to live in lockdowns, masks were mandated, schools were closed, causing massive learning losses, and natural immunity was deemed a conspiracy theory. Government agencies issued mandates, but provided little supporting information and never presented what levels of uncertainty were involved.

The Biden administration waffled between Presidential statements that it was seeking evidence-based information on Covid’s origins – and the unequivocal statements of leading scientist Dr. Anthony Fauci, who pronounced that it came from an animal.  After several years of delay, the FBI and Energy Department finally informed the public that “the Covid pandemic most likely arose from a [Wuhan] laboratory leak,” not from animals.

This served yet again to highlight the difficulty of believing the federal government.

Federal public guidance consisted of Dr. Fauci communicating inconsistent health-related information. First he told the public, “There’s no reason to be walking around with a mask.” A few weeks later, he supported universal masking. Subsequently, he endorsed double masking.

Then, as independent scientists offered contrary views, Fauci and his boss, Francis Collins, formulated a press strategy to discredit the credibility of their leading critics, by labeling them conspiracy theorists.

Federal misinformation fostered a state of fear. Eventually, state Attorneys General brought a lawsuit over the legality of Fauci’s mask mandates. In depositions, Fauci could not identify any study he relied upon to support his conflicting policy pronouncements. And when asked direct questions about his knowledge of the virus’s origins or tests supporting his conclusions, he said he “could not remember.”

Such misinformation harmed public health. Not surprisingly, a recent Lancet study found that public trust in government is vital to effectively implementing public health measures.

Since its enactment, the federal government refused to implement the IQA.

From the moment OMB issued the IQA guidelines, federal agencies fought to undermine its implementation. Agencies viewed OMB’s guidelines as discretionary. The Department of Justice supported the agencies in court filings.

The public filed lawsuits against agencies to implement the guidelines and correct inaccurate information. These efforts failed. The courts avoided interpreting the substance of the statute, holding that private parties lacked standing to enforce IQA requirements. The federal courts gave agencies complete discretion on the type of information disseminated to the public.

With strong resistance from the federal government, the IQA drifted into obscurity. It is amazing that on something as vital as public health issues, courts failed or refused to recognize that citizens can be directly injured by public health misinformation.

Imagine if federal agencies followed IQA.

If the IQA had been implemented during Covid, federal agencies would have been limited to disseminating only reliable, consistent, reproducible information – or disclose that the agencies did not have supporting data. Under the IQA, “Mr. Science,” Dr. Fauci, would have been required to inform the public that his daily statements were mere opinions. The public would have known the truth, which would have allowed people to seek guidance from knowledgeable health professionals.

Government health misinformation is propaganda. Fortunately, it can be immediately remedied.

Government information permeates all of our society, from healthcare to climate change, nutrition and labor statistics. Good quality information is essential for protecting government agencies themselves, as well as families, businesses, schools, hospitals and society as a whole.

When government presents misinformation or mere personal opinion as the truth, it harms the citizens it has sworn to protect. When agencies present computer models as evidence (or proof) that we face imminent manmade climate disasters, they likewise harm our economy and lives, unless the models’ results are confirmed by real-world observations, measurements or data.

Fortunately, the government misinformation can be immediately remedied. President Biden could today order OMB to implement the statute by reinstating and enforcing the original IQA Guidelines.

Moreover, Congress could codify the 2002 guidelines and clarify that citizens suffer injury when government misinformation harms their ability to protect their health, livelihoods and welfare.

A reunification area has been established at 2100 Woodmont Blvd (Woodmont Baptist Church) for parents to meet their children who attend The Covenant School at 33 Burton Hills Blvd.

The 28-year-old WOKE Democrat, Audrey Hale is a graphic Designer by trade and is a biological female who thinks she is a man, or rather claims to be a man. Legal terminology is “Transgender.” Audrey Hale at one time was a young child who attended the ministry of Covenant Presbyterian Church where the tuition costs are about $7,250.00 per year for pre-school children and for children from kindergarten through the sixth grade tuition is about $16,500.00 per year.

Audrey Hale on her social media site, spewed hate for the biblical theology and despised the teaching of the Bible that was mixed into the standard education curriculum.

The school was founded in 2001 as a ministry of Covenant Presbyterian Church and its annual tuition fees range between $7,250 for three-day pre-school and $16,500 for pupils in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Hale is a registered Democrat, and extremely WOKE and supports an anti-American Socialist Agenda including the LGBTQ+ which is an abbreviation for “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and or those that are Questioning.” The Christian school is just south “a stones throw” away from the Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe. Audrey Hale left a manifesto and had this attack against Christians all planned out for at least 6 months prior.
