The latest faze that has hit the streets of Cody are the outside food truck vendors.
This seems to be the latest craze for individuals under 60 and the success of the limited Monday night food truck vendors at the Geysers on the Terrace are making a hit among locals and tourists alike.
So far, not more than three vendors allowed, to park at any one time and only on Friday and Saturday. Vendors are allowed to open up at 9.am and close and be gone by 7pm.
This pilot program that is being tested will run through the end of August 2021.
Vendors would be charged $25.00 per day but can not operate if the park has been reserved for events or major activities unless permission is given by the event as part of the event.
The Cody City Council members feel that by opening up a second location for food truck vendors at the Mentock Park on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be an excellent test for the pilot program.
In General, the public is behind such a program and want to not only help and support the local vendors, but allow for people to get out and try something different in Cody, Wyoming.
The new location, if passed by the Cody City Council, is the Cody Lions Club, which is in Beck Lake Park, will be the second area open for Food Truck vendors to show off their food creativeness to the public.
