L.A. Police Make Arrests At Homeless Encampment

Van Nuys: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Van Nuys Division announce the arrest of three individuals in an encampment.

On September 17, 2021, around 9 a.m., Van Nuys Officers went to the area of Sepulveda Boulevard and Oxnard Street just east of the freeway to a large encampment, south of the area that was cleaned up on previous occasion.

Officers observed that a new large encampment was set up and an illegal power hook up was coming from one of the tents. Officers did a foot-beat through the area and arrested 42-year-old Gregory Carlton Allan Jr. for Trespassing on State Property 555 PC, 47-year-old James Daniel Wilson for Theft of Utilities from DWP 484 (b) PC, 45-year-old Jonathan Bedford for a Misdemeanor Warrant 56.11 LAMC.

Inside a tent officers found a .22 caliber bolt action rifle in plain view. The Los Angeles Police Department ask’s the community that if they “see something to say something.”
