Major Bust Lead To Recovery Of Stolen Firearms, Property, Drugs

The Ward County Narcotics Task force and the Minot Police Department executed a search warrant that resulted in recovered of stolen property, firearms, and a large amount of drug evidence to include a substantial quantity of fentanyl.

The search warrant was executed on a NE Minot Residence at around 1130 am on September 28, 2021. Officers and agents seized approximately 6.5 lbs. of Methamphetamine, with a street value of around $300,000, and agents seized approximately 6.5 lbs. of Methamphetamine, with a street value of around $300,000, and
and agents seized approximately 6.5 lbs. of Methamphetamine, with a street value of around $300,000, and approximately 170 grams of Fentanyl, with a street value of $350,000. Police also located a large amount of marijuana, a stolen bicycle, valued at approximately $2,000.00, and firearms.

The occupant of this residence, Loren Berg Jr., was also wanted on Ward County Warrants for Domestic Violence and Terrorizing.

Loren Berg Jr. was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence – Serious Bodily Injury (C-felony), Terrorizing (C-felony), Poss. w/intent manuf/deliver-Fentanyl-40g or more (A-felony), Poss. w/intent manuf/deliver-Methamphetamine-50g or more (A-felony), Theft-Possession-Firearm (C-felony), Unlawful possession of firearm-Felon or violent misdemeanor (C-felony), Poss. w/intent manuf/deliver-Marijuana (C-Felony), Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia-Manufacture-SI, SII, SIII (C-felony), Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia-Use-SI, SII, SIII (A-Misdemeanor).
