Helena Police Department News

@0225 hours, 3100 block of N. Sanders.  Officers responded to a disturbance.  Upon arrival, an officer recognized one of the involved males and knew he had a warrant for his arrest.  The officer attempted to detain the male.  The male tried to run away but was caught by officers.  While attempting to place the male under arrest, the male was uncooperative and physically resisted arrest.  After the male was arrested, a substance believed to be methamphetamine as well as drug paraphernalia was found on his person.

The male was arrested for his outstanding warrants, resisting arrest, obstructing a police officer, felony possession of dangerous drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  

@0500 hours, 800 block of Getchell.  Officers responded to female trespassing at the parking garage.  The female had trespassed from this location in the past.  She was located on the property and cited for trespassing.  

@0909 hours, 1300 block of Cedar.  Officers responded to a disturbance.  Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile male who appeared to be having a mental health crisis.  The juvenile was deemed to be a danger to himself or others and was placed into protective custody and brought to the hospital.

4 disorderly conduct
