Missoula County Sheriff Deputy in 2-vehicle crash, Driver of second car pronounced dead at scene of accident

Missoula, MT (May 14, 2024) – At approximately 9:30 a.m., a Missoula County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was involved in a 2-vehicle crash near mile marker 80 on Highway 93 South.

The driver of the second vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The Missoula County Sheriff’s Deputy was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of the deceased during this very difficult time.

Montana Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and Lake County Sheriff’s Office will serve as the coroner.
