Killer of Morena Del Carmen Alvarado Lopez Identified

Recently, Detectives have received information regarding fatal hit and run traffic collision that occurred on February 24, 2020.

Angelique Teresa Chaidez has been identified as a person-of-interest and is wanted for
questioning in the Fatal Hit and Run that killed Morena Del Carmen Alvarado Lopez on
February 24, 2020, and Juan Monroy Bahena, who later succumbed to his injuries on May 28, 2020. 

Chaidez is described as 46-year-old female Hispanic, stands 5 feet and 8 inches tall, weighs
about 175 lbs., with red or blonde hair, and blue eyes. Her prior home addresses are in the cities  of Whittier, Bell, Covina, and Commerce. Chaidez currently has an arrest warrant for a failure-to-appear felony. @LAPDCTD24, and Instagram account “LAPD_CTD_24.”

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created  a Hit and Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to  community members who provide information leading to the offender’s identification,  apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise
